At Anderson Engineering & Surveying, Inc. we value the design and construction process from design, calculations, plans, surveying, inspection, construction management to building and maintain relationships with each party within the process. One of our main priorities is to better the community for future generations and to provide practical, cost-effective, and innovative solutions to each and every project.
Our Story
Established in 1983, Darryl Anderson originally founded Anderson Engineering & Surveying, Inc., a family and community driven firm. Since then, Team members have been added to the firm to support Darryl in his mission to serve and better the community. Darryl’s mission is simple: to provide our clients with practical, cost-effective, yet innovative solutions, no matter the size or location of the project. After over 38 years, we continue to work based on these values and we place great emphasis on relationships both within the firm and with our clientele.
Our firm’s team is our greatest asset, as they are not only highly experienced, but they are ethical, talented people with deep-rooted community values. Almost all team members are born and raised in Lakeview, Oregon and have genuine care and passion for the community.

Our Team
Darryl Anderson, PE, PLS
Founder
Darryl Anderson graduated from Oregon Institute of Technology in 1978 with a degrees in Civil Engineering and Surveying. He worked for a variety of places local to Lakeview, practicing Civil Engineering and Surveying until he founded the Anderson Engineering & Surveying, Inc. in 1983 and has been passionately working in the community since. Darryl is extremely community driven and prioritizes client relationships and desires while also creating practical, cost-effective, and innovative solutions for every project.
Karah Witzel, EIT
Engineering & Field Testing Technician
Karah graduated from Oregon Institute of Technology in 2020 with a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering. Karah began working for Anderson in 2020 as an engineering technician. Karah is proficient in a broad spectrum of Civil Engineering disciplines, is certified as concrete field-testing technician as well as a concrete quality control technician, is certified to operate a nuclear gauge, and is certified to conduct erosion and sediment control inspections. Karah has brought new ideals and ambition to gain experience and knowledge, as she begins her career.
Juanita Anderson
Secretary & Treasurer
Juanita is Anderson’s secretary and treasurer who specializes in strong communication and management. Juanita has been apart of Anderson since it was founded and has been consistently dependable and brings positive collaboration and communication to the office. We are grateful for Juanita’s constant commitment and drive to improve Anderson and the community.
Barbara Thompson
Office Services
Barb has been with Anderson Engineering & Surveying, Inc. since 1987. Since then, Barb has been bringing unmatched energy and positivity to the company. Having knowledge of account receivables, Barb aids in Anderson’s activities, communication, and accounting department. Barb maintains office services by organizing administrative operations and procedures, preparing invoices and contract documents, controlling correspondence, and much more. We are grateful for Barb’s daily positive attitude and enjoy the pleasure of working with her.
Ryan Conn
Engineering & Surveying Technician
Ryan graduated from Washington state with a BA, MBA in business administration. Ryan began working for Anderson in 2005 as an engineering and surveying technician. Ryan is proficient in a broad spectrum of civil engineering disciplines, water rights, various drone work, surveying, is certified to conduct erosion and sediment control inspections, and much more. Ryan has brought commitment, innovative designs, and an effective work style to Anderson, which is crucial to our team.
Carmen Tague
Office Services
Carmen has been apart of Anderson since the day she was born, as she is the daughter of Darryl Anderson. Carmen graduated from Western Oregon University in 2004 with a business degree. Carmen has a broad knowledge in business and accounting and aids in the business accounting, project loans, equipment/fleet management, contracting, payroll, grant documentation and submittals, pay requests, and much more. We are grateful for Carmen bringing a positive attitude, great work ethic, and long-time company experience to the office each and every day.
John Harms
Engineering & Field Testing Technician
John graduated from High-Tech Institute in 2004 with an AS degree in Cad Drafting Technology. John began working for Anderson in 2004 as a drafter and has since then become an engineering technician. John specializes in structural design, is certified as concrete field-testing technician as well as a concrete quality control technician, is certified to operate a nuclear gauge, and is certified as a safety inspector for in-service bridges and fracture critical inspector for steel bridges. John has brought commitment, great communication skills, and a passion for his career, which is crucial to our team.
Nicole Braudy, RG
Geologist
Nicole graduated from Brooklyn College in 2010 with a Bachelor’s in geology. She then attended UW-Madison and received her Master’s in structural geology in 2013. Nicole began working at Anderson in 2018 and became a licensed Geologist in 2021. Nicole practices geology as well as surveying at Anderson and has brought ambition to every project. Nicole brings great communication skills to our team and always prioritizes client satisfaction.
